Louise Erdrich is the author of The Round House, winner of the 2012 National Book Award. Her novel Love Medicine won the National Book Critics Circle Award in 1984, and her novelThe Plague of Doves was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2009. She has published volumes of poetry, short stories, children’s books, and a memoir of early motherhood. She is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and owns Birchbark Books, an independent bookstore in Minneapolis

Heid E. Erdrich has been an independent curator for shows at All My Relations Gallery, Bockley Gallery, Soo Vac, Intermedia Arts, and Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts. She is the author of four collections of poetry including Cell Traffic: New and Selected Poems, 2012. Heid’s poem films have been screened widely at festivals and have won a Judges Award, a Best of Fest, and a Best Experimental Short award. She teaches the MFA Creative Writing program of Augsburg College. Her most recent book is a nonfiction work on indigenous food titled
Original Local. Heid grew up in Wahpeton, North Dakota and is Ojibwe enrolled at Turtle Mountain

She g raduated from Dartmouth College 2012 She has exhibted at Dartmouth College, at Banfill-Locker Center for the Arts in Anoka, MN, at the Red Door Gallery in Wahpeton ND , and in the Flagstaff Recycled Art Show-Flagstaff , AZ .
